What is Suit Puzzle?

Suit Puzzle is a two-player game where you move pieces shaped like playing-card suits to line up three of the same suit. Pieces move by jumping over lined-up pieces. Each game takes about 5 minutes, making it easy to enjoy thinking ahead.

Play red against black and be the first to line up three pieces of the same suit. Red uses hearts and diamonds; black uses spades and clubs. Move vertically, horizontally or diagonally by jumping over an unbroken line of adjacent pieces and landing in the empty square immediately beyond. The jumped pieces can be of either colour and any number. Build your line while blocking your opponent.

Suit Puzzle rules: how to play

1. Know your suits

   Red plays Hearts and Diamonds; Black plays Spades and Clubs. The goal is three of the same suit in a row, not just the same color.

2. Jump over lined-up pieces

   Pieces move vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Jump over a continuous line of adjacent pieces and land on the empty square beyond. The color and number of pieces jumped don't matter.

3. Get three in a row first

   Line up three of the same suit in a straight line to win. Think about moves that build your line and moves that block your opponent.

Tips to win at Suit Puzzle

1. Longer lines mean longer jumps

   You can jump over a whole line of pieces at once. The more crowded an area, the farther you can move.

2. Use your opponent's pieces as stepping stones

   The color of jumped pieces doesn't matter. Use your opponent's pieces to complete your own line.

3. Same color, different suit

   Hearts and Diamonds are both red but different suits. You need three of the same suit.
