What is Hyakuju Parade?

Hyakuju Parade is an inflation-style card game where you link the number cards in your hand to make big numbers. Link 15, 52, and 23 to get "1523." Play numbers bigger than the table's and be the first to empty your hand. For 2–5 players.

Big numbers feel great! Representatives of the six continents march together in this parade card game. The 50 cards are two-digit numbers made only of the digits 1 to 5. When two neighboring cards in your hand match (the left card's ones digit equals the right card's tens digit), they join: 15, 52 and 23 become the big number 1523. On your turn you must either play a number from your hand that is bigger than the one on the table, take an end card from the table and insert it anywhere in your hand, or attach one card to an end of the table's number. But you may never rearrange your hand. Read your hand's future, choose what to play and what to pick up, and be the first to empty it. If nobody can beat your number before your turn comes back, it's an Encore and you may play anything. Win two rounds to take the Leader piece. 2–5 players, 15–20 minutes, ages 7+.

Hyakuju Parade rules: how to play

  1. Link the numbers in your hand

If the ones digit of the left card matches the tens digit of the right card, the two link. 15, 52, and 23 become the big number "1523." But you can't rearrange your hand.

  2. Play, take, or add

On your turn, you must do one: play a number bigger than the table's, take an end card from the table and insert it anywhere in your hand, or add one card to an end of the table.

  3. Empty your hand first and become ringmaster

If no one beats you and your turn comes back around, it's an "Encore" and you can play anything. Empty your hand to go out. The first to go out twice takes the ringmaster piece and wins.

You can also check the detailed rules and controls in the app's How to Play guide.

Tips to win at Hyakuju Parade

  1. More digits means a bigger number

Comparison starts with the number of digits. The more cards you link, the stronger the number.

  2. Take cards without breaking links

Cards taken from the table can be inserted anywhere in your hand. Slot them where they link to grow big numbers.

  3. Go for the Encore

Play a big number no one can beat, and on your next turn you can play anything.
