Terms of use

These terms govern use of the PoKeBo board game app and its official website (the “Service”). Please review them before using the Service. See the privacy policy for information handling. This is an English translation of the Japanese terms, last updated September 29, 2026.
1. Available features
The Service provides game asset downloads and on-device, nearby and online matches. Supported modes vary by game, device and app version. Authentication, downloads, online matches and purchase verification require network communication. You are responsible for network charges.
Minors must obtain consent from a parent or other legal representative before using paid features.
2. Accounts and data
We provide Google/Apple sign-in or guest use with an anonymous account. Available authentication methods vary by distribution version. You must manage authentication information appropriately and must not access another person’s account without authorisation.
Anonymous accounts also have server identifiers. Loss of authentication information or changes of device may prevent restoration of the same account or data. Authentication information may remain after uninstalling; reinstalling does not always create a new account.
Data is not necessarily transferable between production, development and evaluation environments. Settings, assets and game states stored only on the device may be lost when the app is removed. Read the confirmation screen before deleting accounts or saved data.
3. Evaluation versions and experimental features
Evaluation versions allow you to check specified games and assets. The first screen shows an explanation and links to these terms and the privacy policy. Anonymous authentication starts after you select Start; Apple/Google sign-in is unnecessary. Standard evaluation versions disable payments and ads and provide only the target games. Evaluation rights and data are not guaranteed to transfer to production.
Evaluation versions may have time or distribution restrictions and may become unavailable after evaluation ends, builds expire or updates occur. Do not redistribute evaluation apps, assets or invitations without permission. Separately agreed evaluation conditions also apply.
External AI and voice matches are limited to explicitly enabled experimental versions. AI responses may contain errors or inappropriate content. Do not include personal information or third-party secrets in speech or other inputs.
4. Payments, coins and subscriptions
Versions offering payments use App Store or Google Play. Check prices, billing periods, benefits and required coin amounts on the purchase screen. Purchase status and coin/game ownership are managed in association with the relevant Service account.
Coins unlock eligible content in the Service. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold or transferred between users. Refunds and other handling follow applicable law and store rules.
Subscriptions renew automatically under store conditions unless cancelled. Cancel in the purchasing store’s subscription management. Deleting the app or account does not cancel a subscription. Access after cancellation and refunds follow the store’s display and rules. See cancellation instructions.
Coin benefits for monthly/yearly plans are granted for each eligible period, not as a full year’s allocation at once for yearly plans. Coins granted through ordinary purchases or subscription benefits have no expiry; unused coins remain after cancellation. Deleting an account makes its coin balance and ownership information subject to deletion.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Violating laws or infringing other users’ or third parties’ rights
- Unauthorised access, bypassing authentication or purchase verification, or tampering with coins, ownership or match results
- Excessive server load, abusive automation or interference with operations or other users’ matches
- Harassment, impersonation or inappropriate submissions through player names, room names or enquiries
- Copying, modifying or redistributing included assets without permission or a legal basis
6. Intellectual property
Rights in the Service’s software, names, illustrations, audio and text belong to the operator or respective rights holders. Purchasing or downloading content does not transfer copyrights. Except where permitted by law, use content only within the authorised scope.
7. Changes, interruptions and responsibility
Features or distribution may change or be interrupted for maintenance, failures, safety measures, external-service changes or rights-related reasons. Important changes or service termination are announced in advance in the app or official website, except in emergencies and similar circumstances.
Network or external-service failures may interrupt matches or prevent data restoration. We work to improve defects but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. These terms do not exclude liability for the operator’s intentional misconduct, gross negligence or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Changes to the terms
Changes and their effective date are announced in the app or official website. We follow required procedures where consent is legally necessary.
