What is Stack Circus?

Stack Circus is a card game where you choose number cards and stack up your own circus. Everyone plays a card at the same time, and the lowest number picks from the table first. Score points through how you stack and where your performers go.

Choose circus performer cards and stack them to score points. Everyone plays one card from their hand simultaneously; lower numbers pick a card from the display first. Place your played card in your own area, with numbers decreasing as a column rises. Columns can be up to five cards high. Score for a column’s height and variety, plus bonuses for each performer’s placement. The highest total wins.

Stack Circus rules: how to play

1. Choose a card from your hand

   Everyone plays one card at the same time. Starting with the lowest number, players take a card from the table into their hand.

2. Stack smaller numbers on top

   Stack the card you just played in your own area. Numbers must get smaller as the stack goes up, up to 5 cards high.

3. Plan for your performers' favorite setups

   Score for column height, number of card types, and each performer's placement condition. The highest total score wins.

Tips to win at Stack Circus

1. Put big numbers at the bottom

   Since numbers must shrink as you go up, placing big numbers low makes it easier to keep stacking later.

2. Play low to get the card you want

   The lowest number picks from the table first. If there's a card you want, play a low number to grab it first.

3. Aim for your performers' bonuses

   Beyond height and variety, deciding early on each performer's bonus condition and stacking for it boosts your score.
